Job Description

Description We're seeking a Access Control Technician to support the installation, repair, and day‑to‑day upkeep of low‑voltage and security systems in Greenville, South Carolina. This contract position, with the possibility of becoming a long‑term role, is a great fit for someone who enjoys hands‑on technical work, solving problems in the field, and helping maintain dependable network and physical security environments. You'll work both independently and with other technicians depending on project requirements, handling cabling, access control, surveillance equipment, and connected devices. Key Responsibilities + Install, diagnose, and maintain low‑voltage infrastructure, including category cabling, component wiring, fiber connections, and related system elements. + Service access control systems, door hardware, and integrated security devices to ensure consistent performance. + Assist with the setup, operation, and maintenance of video surveillance systems, including cameras and supporting components. + Build and manage cable pathways that support security technologies and network systems. + Properly use, inspect, and maintain company‑provided tools and equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation. + Work collaboratively with other technicians and onsite staff to complete service tasks accurately and on schedule. + Adhere to safety standards and established field practices across installation, construction, and service environments. + Support additional field service activities as needed while contributing to a positive, team‑oriented work culture. Requirements + Minimum of one year of experience working in physical security, electronics, IT support, or another technical service discipline. + Practical, hands‑on familiarity with access control systems and video surveillance technologies. + High school diploma or equivalent educational background. + Valid driver's license with the ability to operate company vehicles as needed. + Must be able to meet all background check and drug‑screening requirements. + Comfortable using basic measurement tools—such as tape measures and levels—with precision. + Willing to adjust work hours when projects require evening or weekend availability. + Capable of working on ladders or lifts and routinely handling materials in the 25-50 pound range.
