In person (field-based / job sites) Job Overview We are hiring a Part-Time Entry-Level Fiber Technician to support FTTH and MDU work. This is a true technician role with clear expectations for safety, quality, and productivity. Training and oversight are provided, but you will be expected to take ownership of assigned tasks and improve quickly. This position is 30-36 hours per week . You will receive a formal performance review at 90 days , with the potential to convert to full-time based on performance, attendance, and business needs. Responsibilities Perform assigned FTTH/MDU
field tasks to scope, quality standards, and safety requirements Pull, route, secure, and label fiber/cabling in residential, commercial, and multi-dwelling environments Assist with pathway prep (wall plates, penetrations, fastening, cable management) in a clean, compliant manner Support basic fiber handling practices (protect bend radius, proper storage, routing, and organization) Use hand tools, ladders, and job site equipment safely and correctly Document work completed (photos, notes, basic checklists) and report progress/issues to the supervisor/lead Maintain job site professionalism: clean work areas, protect customer property, and follow site rules Troubleshoot basic issues as trained and escalate when needed Schedule & Hours Part-time:
30-36 hours/week Typically weekdays; start times and job durations vary by project Travel between job sites may be required 90-Day Performance Review (Full-Time Path) At 90 days, we evaluate: Attendance and punctuality Safety compliance and job site professionalism Quality of work (clean routing, labeling, organization, adherence to standards) Productivity and ability to learn and execute standard work Communication, documentation, and teamwork High performers may be considered for conversion to full-time following the review. Qualifications Entry-level candidates encouraged to apply (fiber/telecom/MDU experience is a plus, not required) Dependable, coachable, and able to work with minimal supervision after training Comfortable working in the field, including tight spaces, varying weather, and active job sites Strong attention to detail and commitment to clean, consistent workmanship Basic comfort using a smartphone for photos, notes, and communication Requirements Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (unless reporting to a designated meet-up location) Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and perform physical job tasks Ability to pass applicable background screening and/or drug screening (as required) Pay:
