About the Company A global engineering and technology company specializing in integrated telecommunications, security, and safety solutions for critical infrastructure sectors, including oil & gas, power, mining, and transportation. Role Overview As a Telecom Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting a wide range of telecommunications and low-voltage systems in industrial environments. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality field services, ensuring systems are installed, commissioned, and maintained to the highest technical and safety standards while maintaining client relationships. Key Responsibilities Install, maintain, and troubleshoot: Structured cabling (fiber optics, Cat5/Cat6) LAN, voice, and video systems PAGA (Public Address & General Alarm) systems CCTV and security systems Access control systems Two-way radio systems (UHF/VHF, trunked radio) Terminate, test, and troubleshoot fiber optic and low-voltage systems Install cable trays, pathways, grounding systems, and telecom devices Support commissioning, testing, and system integration activities Act as a client-facing representative on-site, ensuring excellent customer experience Maintain accurate documentation (timesheets, inventory, field reports) Communicate progress with site leads, management, and customers Collaborate with internal teams and support other technicians when required Ensure compliance with all HSE (Health, Safety & Environmental) standards Required High School Diploma or GED Or 2+ years of experience in telecom installation and maintenance: fiber optics & structured cabling, security systems and access control, PAGA and radio systems Preferred Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical/Electronics or Telecommunications Experience in industrial or Oil & Gas environments Fiber splicing certification Technical Skills Fiber optic systems and testing CCTV (Milestone, Axis, etc.) Access control systems (e.g., Lenel) PAGA systems (e.g., Federal Signal) Telecom infrastructure installation and maintenance Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 100 lbs Comfortable working at heights (up to 60 ft) Ability to perform physically demanding tasks (climbing, kneeling, lifting, etc.) Willingness to work in industrial/field environments Certifications & Requirements TWIC Card (or ability to obtain) Eligibility to work in the U.S. (I-9 verification required) Safety certifications (H2S, LOTO, First Aid/CPR) are a plus What We Offer Long-term, stable career opportunity Exposure to large-scale industrial telecom projects Collaborative and fast-paced work environment Opportunities for professional development and growth Why Join Us Work with a globally recognized telecom systems integrator Be part of a tight-knit, high-performing technical team Gain experience on mission-critical infrastructure projects Grow within a dynamic, international organization
