New Source Broadband Internet is seeking a dedicated Installation Technician to join our growing team in Eastland. As the face of our company, you will play a critical role in bridging the digital divide by connecting residential and commercial customers to high-speed internet services. This position is ideal for a hands-on problem solver who enjoys working outdoors, engaging with the community, and ensuring that every customer receives a seamless, high-quality installation experience. You will work in a fast-paced environment where safety, technical precision, and exceptional customer service are our top priorities. Key Responsibilities Your daily routine will involve traveling to various customer locations to perform new service installations, upgrades, and necessary repairs to our broadband infrastructure. This includes mounting equipment, running internal and external cabling, and configuring routers or access points to ensure optimal signal strength and connectivity. Beyond the technical setup, you are responsible for educating customers on how to use their new equipment, troubleshooting any immediate performance issues, and documenting all work orders accurately within our digital tracking system. You will consistently maintain your service vehicle and inventory while adhering to strict safety protocols, including the proper use of ladders and power tools in diverse weather conditions and physical environments. Qualifications The ideal candidate possesses a strong mechanical aptitude and a foundational understanding of networking or home electronics. While prior experience in telecommunications or cable installation is preferred, we value individuals with a proven track record of manual dexterity and the ability to work comfortably at heights or in confined spaces. You must hold a valid drivers license with a clean driving record and demonstrate the professional communication skills necessary to interact positively with a diverse customer base. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with a self-motivated work ethic and the flexibility to adapt to changing daily schedules and technical challenges as they arise in the field.
