Job Description

Contract Must-Have Experience:
- Hands-on experience with rack & stack, structured cabling, and WLC installations
- Strong understanding of fiber connectivity and patching
- Ability to coordinate with remote support teams during deployment
Key Responsibilities:
- Stage equipment prior to cutover
- Install 2 x Cisco 9800 WLCs per site
- Perform power and network cross-connections, including switchport verification
- Install and connect SFP modules, fiber patch cords, and Ethernet patch cords as required
- Support cutover and validate installation with remote teams Legacy Equipment Handling (40-50% of sites):
- Decommission old WLCs
- Label, pack, and prepare equipment for return shipment
Deployment Pace:
- Small/medium sites: 1 site per day
- Large sites: Weekend scheduling
- Mandatory Tools (Engineer Must Have):
- Laptop
- Console cable
- Hotspot
- Label maker
- Rack screws
Note:
SFP modules, fiber patch cords, and Ethernet patch cords will be arranged by the engineer (cost reimbursable).Work Environment:
- Onsite at client locations
- Independent work with remote team coordination
