supports the operation and maintenance of critical tunnel, transportation, and facility systems. We provide stable, hands-on work for skilled trades professionals in a safety-focused environment where your expertise helps keep essential systems running. What You Will Do You will install, maintain, and troubleshoot field-based electronic and communication systems that support traffic operations and intelligent transportation systems (ITS).Key responsibilities include:
Install, program, repair, and maintain ITS and traffic control equipment Troubleshoot field devices, including: Traffic signal controllers CCTV cameras and pan-tilt systems Dynamic/message signs Ethernet switches, PLCs, and network equipment Maintain fiber optic, wireless, and IP-based communication networks Perform preventive maintenance and system diagnostics Read and interpret wiring diagrams, plans, and technical schematics Use electronic and fiber optic testing equipment to identify issues Support system upgrades and new deployments Coordinate with technicians and project teams to resolve field issues Respond to emergency call-outs when needed What You Bring Experience with traffic systems, ITS, or roadway infrastructure Familiarity with fiber optics, networking (IP/Ethernet), or wireless systems Experience working with electronics, communications systems, or field-based technical equipment Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic systems Comfortable working with tools, test equipment, and computers Valid driver's license with a clean record Experience working outdoors or in field service role Ability to read technical diagrams or schematics Why Join Us Work on critical infrastructure that impacts thousands of people daily Build highly transferable technical skills in communications, networking, and controls Be part of a supportive team with real career growth opportunities Exposure to advanced ITS and smart transportation technologies Work Environment Work outdoors in varying conditions Climb structures or use bucket trucks for equipment access Stand, walk, or drive for extended periods Use tools, test equipment, and vehicles daily Benefits Paid training and certifications Overtime opportunities 15 daysPTO & 11
