As a Field Technician at NeuBeam, you will play a crucial role in our mission to provide exceptional internet services to our customers. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting various internet equipment including cables, modems, routers, and radio antennas at customer locations throughout Whatcom and Skagit County. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, customer service skills, and a commitment to ensuring our customers have a seamless internet experience.

Responsibilities:

Install and configure internet equipment such as modems, routers, and radio antennas at residential and commercial customer locations. Run cables (coaxial, Ethernet, fiber optic) ensuring optimal placement and functionality. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to internet connectivity, equipment malfunctions, and network performance. Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries, concerns, and service requests promptly and professionally. Conduct site surveys to assess installation requirements and recommend optimal placement of equipment. Collaborate effectively with other team members and departments to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction. Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and equipment inventory.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or education is a plus. Proven experience in telecommunications, internet installation, or a related field preferred. Strong understanding of networking principles and protocols. Ability to lift and carry equipment and materials up to 70 pounds. Ability to occasionally climb communications towers up to 300 feet. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Customer-focused with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Availability to participate in a rotating on call schedule which includes evenings, weekends and holidays as needed Availability to work Tuesday through Saturday is required. Flexibility to accommodate additional shifts or changes as needed.

Pay:

$21.00 - $25.00 per hour
