Job Description
Experienced Marine Service Technician GSPS Marine - Gulf Shores, AL Full-Time | Tuesday-Saturday | 9:00 AM-5:30 PM GSPS Marine, located in Gulf Shores, AL, is seeking an Experienced Marine Service Technician with hands-on expertise in Yamaha, Mercury, and Suzuki outboards , boat rigging, and marine electronics installation. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining boats and engines brought to the dealership, performing scheduled services, and ensuring all work is completed correctly the first time. The ideal candidate must be able to complete jobs efficiently and on time in a fast‑paced, high‑volume dealership environment . Primary Responsibilities Perform service, diagnostics, and repairs on outboard engines. Complete rigging and setup on new boats and watercraft as needed. Manage multiple work orders and accurately document all work performed in the system. Conduct sea trials to evaluate performance, diagnose issues, and verify completed repairs. Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and yard trucks; tow and launch boats as needed. Troubleshoot, repair, and install electrical systems and accessories, including bilge pumps, charging systems, and steering systems. Work closely with the Service Manager and General Manager to support daily operations. Complete assigned jobs in a timely manner while maintaining quality standards in a high‑pace dealership. Additional Expectations Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition. Maintain a clean, professional personal appearance. Keep workstations and company vehicles clean and organized. Attend manufacturer training seminars and service schools as required. Follow all safety policies and procedures. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications 1+ years of marine rigging and/or electrical experience. 1+ years of marine mechanical experience. 1+ years of outboard engine experience (Yamaha, Mercury, Suzuki preferred). Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
