Boat mechanic/ Marine technician

Overview We are seeking a skilled Marine Technician to join our team, responsible for the maintenance, and repair of outboard and stern drives. (1980's- 2024) We do not work on jet boats. Work is done outside under awnings. Must be ok working outside. It is required to lift 60-80lbs occasionally and be able to climb in and out of boats safely. Duties Perform routine maintenance and repairs on marine engines, electrical systems, and other mechanical components. Fabricate parts as needed to ensure optimal functionality of marine equipment. Assemble and rig various components according to schematics and specifications. Troubleshoot issues with marine systems, utilizing diagnostic tools and techniques. Solder electrical connections and perform wiring tasks as required. Collaborate with service technicians to ensure timely completion of projects. Maintain accurate records of repairs, services performed, and parts used. Experience Proven experience as a Marine Technician or in a similar service technician role is necessary. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools and diagnostic equipment. Familiarity with schematics related to marine systems is essential. Ability to fabricate components as necessary for repairs or modifications. Experience in rigging and assembly of marine equipment is a plus. All employees need their own basic tools.
