Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Mechanic/Boat Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a variety of marine vessels and equipment. Your expertise will ensure the safety, reliability, and optimal performance of boats and related machinery. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge tools and techniques in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the seamless operation of our fleet and services. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on boats, engines, and associated mechanical systems. Use schematics, technical manuals, and diagrams to diagnose issues accurately and efficiently. Conduct electrical troubleshooting using tools such as ohmmeters, soldering irons, and multimeters to identify faults in wiring or electronic components. Fabricate or modify sheet metal parts and components using welding, cutting, and assembly techniques to meet specific project needs. Operate power tools, hand tools, calipers, and precision measuring instruments to ensure precise repairs and installations. Assist with rigging tasks including lifting heavy components safely using rigging equipment and heavy lifting techniques. Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports for all repairs performed; ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols. Requirements Proven experience as a service technician or mechanic with a focus on marine or vehicle maintenance. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience; familiarity with schematics is essential. Experience working with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering equipment, calipers, and precision measuring instruments. Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams accurately. Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and assembly processes; experience in welding is highly desirable. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting regularly and work in various environmental conditions. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly. Prior military experience or background is a plus due to disciplined approach to maintenance procedures. Familiarity with maintenance procedures for boats or similar machinery is preferred but not required. $35.00 - $55.00 per hour
