About the Role Anchor Innovation is hiring a hands-on Small Boat Mechanic / Marine Electrician to support small surface craft operations across the Southern California waterfront. This role directly supports maintenance and readiness for operational units. You'll be working real issues on real platforms. What You'll Do Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on small craft Troubleshoot propulsion, electrical, fuel, and control systems Execute preventative and corrective maintenance in operational environments Support launch, recovery, and waterfront operations Travel weekly to Port Hueneme to support distributed maintenance efforts Document maintenance actions and support readiness tracking Required Qualifications Active Secret Clearance Experience maintaining small boats or marine vessels Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting capability Ability to work in waterfront and field environments Valid US driver's license USCG 50-ton license At least three (3) years of demonstrated operational controller, or tactical small craft coxswain experience in one or more of the following: U.S. Navy USVRON or
SURFDEVGRU
operations U.S. Navy Special Warfare Combatant-Craft Crewman (SWCC) U.S. Navy Riverine Forces U.S. Navy Coastal Riverine Force (CRF) U.S. Navy Maritime Expeditionary Security Force (MESF) U.S. Marine Corps 0312 Riverine / Small Craft communities U.S. Coast Guard Shore-Based Boat Units U.S. Coast Guard Maritime Patrol Forces operating FRC, WPB, or CPB platforms U.S. Coast Guard Deployable Specialized Forces (DSF), including MSRT, MSST, or PSU units USCG 50-ton license with operational small craft experience Preferred Qualifications USCG 100-ton license Prior Navy or maritime operational experience Experience with preventative maintenance programs and OEM technical manuals Comfort working across multiple platforms and evolving systems Why This Role Matters You'll directly impact system readiness and help transition maintenance from contractor/OEM-driven support to sustainable, navy operator-owned capability.
