This could be a wonderful opportunity for the right candidate to escape the corporate world and work in a family atmosphere without the grind! This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of boat types, including powerboats, pontoons, wake boats that have I/O, inboard and outboard motors. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude, knowledge of marine engines, electrical systems, and related components.

Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair a wide range of boat problems, including engine issues, electrical malfunctions, and mechanical failures. Perform routine maintenance, such as oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid level checks. Perform winterization and shrink wrap, and spring checks. Inspect boats for potential problems and advise customers on preventative maintenance. Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure timely and efficient repairs. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Adhere to safety regulations and procedures. Stay current with the latest marine technology and repair techniques.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a boat mechanic. Strong understanding of marine engines, including inboards, outboards, I/O. Familiarity with marine electrical systems, including wiring, batteries, and charging systems. Knowledge of boat rigging and hydraulics. Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals. Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
