The Marine Electrician/Assembly Tech's main area of focus will be the installation of all vessel-related electrical system components, to include wiring/cables, power generation components, control panels, junction boxes, etc., as well as perform assembly work as needed including installation of engines, hydraulics, cooling systems, fuel systems, etc. The Marine Electrician/Assembly Tech will also perform system start-up and functional testing of electrical systems and troubleshoot/repair system issues.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Remove, install, and repair electrical equipment and fixtures. Remove, install diverse types of cable tray systems. Able to troubleshoot motor and control systems. Perform routine maintenance on electrical wiring and systems. Responsible for building control panels. Conduct installation of mechanical systems. Bridging of electrical work with mechanical assembly.
Qualifications / Skills
/
Experience:
3-6 years of marine / manufacturing experience. High school diploma or GED. Ability to create solutions, procedures and policies while working with various departments. Understand how to use a multi-meter. Ability to use hand and power tools. Ability to work in limited spaces. Focus on detail and accuracy. Previous experience in marine electrical installation. Familiarity with electrical schematics and manuals. Familiarity with electrical equipment. Personal set of tools required for the job.
