Overview
UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT
. We are a full-service marina and well-respected dealer for Mercury, Cummins and Yanmar. We are seeking an Experienced Marine Technician . This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical expertise in a fast-paced environment, ensuring boats and marine systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. This role is a full-time hourly position and you are not compensated on flat-rate. You will work on everything from mechanical systems to electrical components, utilizing your hands-on skills to deliver top-tier service and support to our valued clients. If you thrive on problem-solving and are interested in working on the water, this position is perfect for you! Key Responsibilities Diagnose and repair marine vessels, including engines, electrical systems, rigging, and mechanical components Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, system inspections, and part replacements to ensure optimal vessel performance Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings for troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used for compliance and quality assurance
Required Qualifications Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a marine technician or mechanic. Prior certifications in diesel and/or outboards are a plus.
Technical Skills:
Deep knowledge of marine diesel/gasoline engines including outboards, propulsion systems, and marine electronics.
Boat Handling:
Comfortable operating vessels on sea trials.
Abilities:
Proven ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals as well as use factory software for troubleshooting and calibration.
Soft Skills:
