In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of small engines and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and longevity. Your expertise will help the landscape division get back to work or play quickly and confidently. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse machinery, including lawnmowers, generators, and other small engine-powered equipment, in a fast-paced and supportive environment. Duties Diagnose issues with small engines and related equipment Perform repairs on various small engines, including carburetor rebuilds, engine overhauls, and electrical system troubleshooting Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, spark plug replacements, and belt adjustments to ensure equipment operates efficiently Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and heavy lifting techniques to complete repairs accurately Interpret schematics and technical diagrams for complex diesel engine repair and electrical troubleshooting Test repaired equipment to verify proper operation before returning it to customers or preparing it for sale Maintain detailed service records and communicate repair status clearly with team members and customers Requirements Proven experience as a Small Engine Mechanic or Service Technician with dealership experience preferred Strong mechanical knowledge of small engines, diesel engines, and automotive repair principles Familiarity with schematics, electrical systems, soldering techniques, welding, and generator repair Hands-on experience with vehicle maintenance tools including hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment Knowledge of Caterpillar equipment or similar heavy machinery is a plus Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards Physical ability to lift heavy equipment regularly and perform manual repairs as needed Join our team today to become part of a vibrant company dedicated to quality service and customer satisfaction.
