Marine Service Technician

Bonita Boat Center is looking to hire a reliable person to work as a Marine Technician. The right candidate for Marine Technician must have a proven track of experience and certifications in Yamaha, Volvo or Mercury Outboards to be considered. Our ideal candidate for Marine Technician must possess outstanding knowledge of marine engines and equipment and be able to provide technical support, guidance and supervision to other marine technicians. While ensuring exceptional quality of repairs, this position requires an ambitious individual that is eager to meet customer expectations. Marine Technician must be open to work Monday - Friday 8am-6pm (1hour lunch). Must have a valid driver license. A Candidate is a subject to drug screening and background check. Marine Technician responsibilities : Examine and inspect boat and discuss the nature and extent of damage or malfunction with service advisor or production manager; Perform diagnostics and repairs of all types on marine engines and equipment; Safely operate customer vessel during diagnostic water testing; Maintain effective communication with the service and parts department; Perform quality control of repairs done by any technician at service department; Ensure all repairs are done according to manufactures' guidelines, safety procedures and company policies; Attend training seminars and certification classes as needed; Be a mentor for aspiring but less experienced technicians; Perform other related duties as assigned.

Marine Technician requirements:

2 years Experience with Yamaha, Mercury, Volvo or other engines Possess a high regard for safety in the workplace Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted
