In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining marine engines and related systems to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will help deliver exceptional service to our customers, supporting their boating adventures with reliable and efficient engine solutions. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics on marine engines using schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. Conduct repairs and maintenance on a variety of marine engine systems, including mechanical, electrical, and fuel components. Utilize hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments like calipers and ohmmeters, and welding equipment for assembly, fabrication, and repair tasks. Interpret schematics and technical drawings to troubleshoot issues accurately and efficiently. Execute rigging procedures and heavy lifting operations safely to install or remove engine components. Conduct routine inspections of engine systems, perform preventive maintenance, and document all work performed meticulously. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and offering maintenance advice to boat owners. Qualifications Proven experience as a service technician or mechanic with a focus on marine engines or vehicle maintenance. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by electrical experience and familiarity with schematics. Experience with fabrication techniques such as sheet metal work, welding, soldering, and assembly processes. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, calipers, soldering irons, ohmmeters, and other precision measuring instruments. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safety protocols. Knowledge of rigging procedures and sheet metal fabrication is highly desirable. Excellent customer service skills combined with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
