Location Doral Full/Part Time Full-Time Exempt from Classified Service No Minimum Rate 61252.81 Min Pay Frequency Yearly Maximum Rate 93800.10 Max Pay Frequency Yearly Regular/Temporary Regular Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Three years of experience as an inboard diesel technician in diagnosing engines, repairing and maintaining diesel engines to include electrical repairs, rigging, and electronic diagnosis. Must possess or obtain a CDL/Class A license within one (1) year of employment.
PREFERENCE
Applicants with factory certifications from Mercury, Yamaha, Advance Electrical Systems, Marine Electricity, Marine Diesel Engine I and/or II, Gasoline Engine Diagnostics and Repair, Marine Transmission Systems, Corrosion Standards, Composite, Air Condition and Refrigeration, Marine Engines and Fuel Systems, and Advanced Marine Electronics are highly preferred. Recruitment Notes The Marine Craft Technician (MCT) will be responsible for the maintenance, diagnosis, repair, and overall serviceability of all the vessels associated with the Fireboat program.
These vessels currently comprise of:
Three (3) 55' Metal Shark jet-propelled and diesel-powered vessels, Two (2) 38' Metal Shark equipped with outboard powered motors, and One (1) SafeBoat also equipped with outboard powered motors. The Marine Craft Technicians (plural) will also be responsible for future vessels the department purchases for the Fireboat program.
