This is a hands-on field role working aboard yachts and recreational vessels — installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electrical systems from the bilge to the helm. If you're someone who takes pride in clean wiring, knows your way around a multimeter, and can solve problems on a boat without someone looking over your shoulder, we want to hear from you. Duties Install, repair, and maintain 12V/24V DC and 120V/240V AC electrical systems on yachts and marine vessels Troubleshoot electrical faults using diagnostic tools and hands-on inspection Run and terminate wire, install panels, breakers, switches, and shore power connections Work on electronics including chartplotters, VHF radios, autopilots, bilge pumps, lighting, and navigation systems Install and service marine batteries, inverters, chargers, and shore power systems Read and interpret wiring diagrams and vessel schematics in the field Coordinate with other marine tradespeople (mechanics, riggers, fiberglass) on the job Document completed work clearly and communicate status to the service manager Requirements 2+ years of hands-on marine electrical experience (yachts, powerboats, or commercial vessels preferred) Working knowledge of ABYC electrical standards Ability to read wiring diagrams and trace circuits independently Comfortable working in tight spaces, on the water, and aboard vessels in various conditions Own basic hand tools; experience with marine-specific diagnostic equipment a plus Strong troubleshooting instincts — you find the problem, not just the symptom Reliable, professional, and able to work independently or as part of a small crew No degree required — experience and work quality speak for themselves
Pay:
$45.00 - $70.00 per hour
