We are looking for a skilled Marine Service Technician who takes pride in their work, can diagnose issues independently, and wants to be part of a team that values craftsmanship and accountability. What You'll Do Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and systems issues on a variety of vessels Perform routine service and maintenance on Yamaha outboards, Volvo Penta inboards, and related systems Install, configure, and troubleshoot marine electronics (Garmin, NMEA networks, etc.) Complete warranty and customer repairs to a high standard with clear documentation Conduct inspections and identify potential issues proactively Collaborate with the Service Manager and team to keep jobs on schedule Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Assist with boat handling, sea trials, and trailering when needed Assist with transport, setup, and breakdown of vessels for boat shows and events What We're Looking For 2+ years of marine technician experience (or strong mechanical background with marine training) Solid diagnostic ability, not just parts replacement Experience with Yamaha strongly preferred; Volvo Penta experience a plus Familiarity with marine electrical systems and electronics installation ABYC certification (or willingness to obtain) Ability to work efficiently without sacrificing quality Strong communication skills and professionalism with team and customers Valid driver's license and ability to trailer boats Nice to Have Fiberglass and gelcoat repair experience Experience with commissioning new boats Multi-brand dealership or yard experience What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience and skill ( $18-$25/hour ) with room to grow Performance-based bonuses Health and dental insurance 401(k) with company match (after 6 months) Paid time off: vacation, holidays, and sick leave Ongoing training and certification opportunities Schedule Full-time, Monday to Friday, 7:30am-4pm Occasional flexibility for boat shows or service needs
