The Marine Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of marine vessels and related mechanical systems. The ideal candidate should have strong mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, good communication skills, and a professional attitude when working on customer vessels, at marinas, and at service locations. Duties Inspect, diagnose, service, and repair inboard and outboard engines. Perform maintenance and repairs on generators, alternators, propulsion systems, and related marine equipment. Complete routine maintenance, including oil and filter changes, fuel system service, impeller replacement, cooling system service, and general engine maintenance. Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, steering, throttle, shift, and control systems. Assist with sea trials and operational testing to confirm proper system performance. Identify needed parts, document findings, and communicate repair recommendations clearly. Maintain accurate records of labor time, parts used, and work performed. Cleanliness is a must. Keep tools, work areas, and company vehicles clean, organized, and properly maintained. Follow all safety procedures and company workmanship standards. Represent Evtec Marine LLC professionally when interacting with clients, marinas, vendors, and team members. Qualifications Previous marine mechanic experience preferred. Experience with inboard and/or outboard engines. Knowledge of marine electrical, fuel, cooling, steering, and propulsion systems is a plus. Ability to diagnose mechanical issues and complete repairs efficiently. Ability to read service manuals, diagrams, and technical documentation. Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team. Must have good communication and customer service skills. Valid driver's license preferred. Basic tool are required
