Job Description

Overview Insetta Boatworks is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Boat Manufacturing Technician to join our team building state of the art foiling catamarans. Previous fiberglass experience is not required. We are looking for individuals with strong carpentry, construction, fabrication, or hands-on manufacturing experience who are skilled with measuring, cutting, and working with power tools. The ideal candidate is precise, takes pride in quality workmanship, and can accurately follow specifications and drawings to produce high-quality fiberglass boat components. Duties Construct and maintain fiberglass molds and tooling Cut, trim, and fit fiberglass materials according to specifications Remove fiberglass parts from molds safely and efficiently Assemble fiberglass components and structures for boat construction Measure, mark, and cut materials accurately using tape measures, templates, and drawings Use hand tools and power tools to cut, drill, grind, and finish fiberglass parts Ensure components meet quality standards and dimensional requirements Maintain a clean and organized work area Follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment (PPE) Work closely with team members to meet production schedules and quality expectations Requirements Experience in carpentry, construction, cabinetry, fabrication, woodworking, or a related hands-on trade preferred Ability to read and accurately use a tape measure Experience making precise cuts, layouts, and measurements Comfortable using power tools such as saws, drills, grinders, routers, and sanders Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to follow written instructions, drawings, and specifications Ability to work independently and as part of a team Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Physical Requirements Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and lift materials throughout the workday Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including exposure to dust, noise, and fiberglass materials
Pay:
$20.00 - $30.00 per hour
