Job Description

We are seeking a Hydraulics Technician to join our team. The Marine Hydraulics Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of hydraulic systems used in marine vessels and equipment. This role ensures optimal performance and safety of hydraulic components supporting propulsion, steering, lifting, and auxiliary systems. The Hydraulics Technician position offers an opportunity to contribute to essential marine projects, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety standards. Responsibilities Inspect, diagnose, and repair hydraulic systems on boats, ships, and marine equipment. Install hydraulic components including pumps, valves, cylinders, hoses, and motors. Perform routine maintenance to prevent system failures and extend equipment lifespan. Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and service manuals. Test hydraulic systems for performance, leaks, and pressure levels. Troubleshoot mechanical and hydraulic issues efficiently and accurately. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and marine industry standards. Maintain detailed service records and documentation. Coordinate with engineers, captains, and other technicians as needed. Respond to emergency repair situations, including dockside and onboard service calls. Qualifications Experience with hydraulic systems, preferably in marine or heavy equipment environments. Strong understanding of fluid power systems and components. Ability to read hydraulic schematics and blueprints. Familiarity with marine engines and vessel systems is a plus.
Pay rate:
$25 to $33 / hour, based on experience.
Schedule:
