Work schedule Full-time Travel Required 25% or less - Varies Appointment type Permanent Occupions and job series 4717 Bo Building And Repairing Supervisory stus No Federal service type This job is in the Competitive Service Drug test No Security clearance Not Required Announcement number 77272 Control number 869038000 This job is open to Help The public U.S. Citizens, Nionals or those who owe allegiance to the U.S. Clarificion from the agency Open to Public Duties Help Assists higher level mechanic in repairing bos, other wercrafts and reled equipment, performing preparory tasks such as sanding, base painting, mixing compounds, and under direction cleans bo components, engine parts, and assists in installion of rudders and center boards, etc. Performs routine preventive maintenance of wercrafts and general handyman tasks around the Marina and Outdoor Recreion facilities, including wer craft above and below werline (the lter requiring use of snorkeling equipment) and docks such as replacing bang rails, etc. Maintains recreion area, facilities (including Camping and Picnic areas) and equipment in the proper condition, removing trash, policing restrooms, and emptying contents into dumpster. Provides informion concerning the use of equipment, facilities and operion. Ensures only authorized prons use recreion area, facilities and equipment. May assist in maintaining routine reports and/or perform clerical duties as needed. May opere a cash register, receive payments and make change. Performs operional checks and maintenance of outdoor rental equipment, correcting simple malfunctions such as replacing mask/snorkel straps, propane lantern mantels, sewing of tent rips/tares. Operes assigned vehicles to transport supplies and merials to work sites. Ensures th safety procedures are followed. Perform any other reled duties as assigned. EVALUATIONS

Qualificions Basic knowledge of trade practices sufficient to complete simple tasks while assisting in bo repairs and reled work assignments using common hand tools such as scrapers, scrubbers, pressure washers, sewing machine, power drill, etc. Ability to provide continual care and tention to finishing work assignments involving several tasks or processes requiring applicion of safety rules, pron usage, etc. Must have a valid driver's license. A minimum of one (I) year experience in sailing and bo maintenance and Scuba Certificion is preferred. Works under the supervision of the Marina Manager who provides direction on overall work to be accomplished, priorities, and guidance on non-routine assignments. Work is performed under the technical direction of a senior mechanic. Requires prolonged standing, stooping, bending, and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions. Maybe required to lift objects weighing over 50 pounds. Works both indoors, outdoors, and in wer, including exposure to the elements, paint vapors and fumes, scrapes and cuts. Maybe required to handle hazardous merial. Required to wear supplied, protective clothing/equipment. Additional informion
