Job Description

Jet Boat Mechanic / Marine Technician Snake River Adventures -
Lewiston, ID Pay:
$20-$30 per hour DOE Snake River Adventures is seeking a reliable, hardworking Jet Boat Mechanic to join our team. We operate a fleet of large commercial jet boats used in Hells Canyon and are looking for someone who enjoys hands-on work, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and keeping equipment operating safely and efficiently. This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM in our large air-conditioned shop alongside a small, experienced crew. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance on commercial jet boats Complete oil changes, fluid checks, and preventative maintenance Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and performance issues Repair and replace boat components as needed Assist with seasonal inspections and boat preparation Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively Maintain a clean and organized work area Respond to unexpected mechanical issues and help find practical solutions Work closely with captains and management to keep boats operating at peak performance Qualifications Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills Experience working on boats, vehicles, equipment, or similar machinery preferred Ability to use common hand and power tools Dependable with strong attendance and punctuality Positive attitude and willingness to learn Ability to work independently and as part of a team Valid driver's license preferred Preferred but Not Required Welding experience Marine mechanical experience Electrical troubleshooting experience Experience with gasoline engines What We Offer Full-time, year-round employment Monday-Friday schedule (8:00 AM-5:00 PM) Large air-conditioned shop Small team environment Opportunities to learn specialized marine systems and commercial jet boat operations Competitive pay based on experience Work on some of the most unique commercial jet boats in the Pacific Northwest If you're mechanically inclined, enjoy solving problems, and take pride in keeping equipment running at its best, we'd love to hear from you.
