Job Overview Join our team as a Boat Mechanic and become a vital part of ensuring the safety, performance, and reliability of our fleet. In this energetic role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide variety of marine vessels, utilizing your mechanical expertise and technical skills. Your hands-on approach will keep boats operating at peak condition, delivering exceptional service to our customers and supporting our commitment to excellence on the water. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and comprehensive repairs on boats, including engines, electrical systems, rigging, and hull components Use schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters, calipers, and precision measuring instruments to troubleshoot issues accurately Conduct electrical work including soldering, wiring repairs, and system upgrades with power tools and hand tools Fabricate or modify sheet metal parts and perform welding or heavy lifting as needed to restore vessel integrity Interpret technical drawings and schematics to ensure precise assembly and installation of mechanical or electrical components Assist with vessel assembly, rigging setups, and fabrication projects to meet customer specifications Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports to track repairs, inspections, and maintenance schedules Requirements Proven experience as a service technician or mechanic with a focus on marine or vehicle maintenance Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by electrical experience and familiarity with schematics Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy machinery safely and efficiently Knowledge of heavy lifting procedures using appropriate rigging techniques Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly Ability to perform precise measurements using calipers and other precision instruments Capable of performing routine maintenance tasks on boats while adhering to safety standards This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to apply their mechanical talents in a vibrant marine environment.
