Job Description

Job Summ ary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Marine Mechanic to join our dynamic team! The ideal candidate will be skilled in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of marine engines and systems, including outboard motors, inboard engines, electrical systems, and general boat components. Your expertise will help keep boats and marine equipment in top condition, supporting our commitment to delivering reliable and high-quality marine services. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your skills make a real difference. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair outboard and inboard engines (gas and diesel). Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, tune‑ups, water pump replacements, and winterization. Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, batteries, wiring, and lighting. Inspect and repair fuel systems, steering systems, and cooling systems. Conduct propeller, lower unit, and drive system repairs. Perform boat trailer maintenance (bearings, lights, tires). Maintain accurate service records and communicate repair needs to management. Ensure all work meets safety and manufacturer standards. Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with environmental regulations. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems efficiently and effectively Skills Proven experience as a Boat Mechanic / Marine Technician. Strong knowledge of outboard and inboard engines (Yamaha, Mercury, Honda, Suzuki, etc.). Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues efficiently. Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and maintenance instructions clearly Familiarity with marine tools, diagnostic equipment, and repair procedures. Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in outdoor environments. Valid driver's license; boating experience is a plus. Experience with vehicle maintenance or similar mechanical systems is highly desirable Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail and safety standards Effective communication skills to work seamlessly within a team environment Willingness to learn new techniques and stay updated on the latest marine technology advancements Certifications (ABYC, manufacturer training) are preferred but not required. $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
