Job Description

1zero3 Outdoor Power is a family owned, small engine repair business seeking a skilled and dependable Small Engine Mechanic to join our team. The candidate will diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of outdoor power equipment and small engines while providing excellent customer service and ensuring quality workmanship. Responsibilities Welcome customers and identify their service and equipment needs. Enter and process customer work orders using the point-of-sale system. Answer phones and assist customers with questions regarding repairs, parts, and service. Look up and identify parts using manufacturer parts diagrams and manuals. Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, including carburetor work, engine repairs, and hydraulic systems on UTVs, ATVs, and outdoor power equipment (OPE). Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of small engine equipment. Communicate with customers regarding repair estimates, recommendations, and potential equipment or parts sales. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities. Support the continued growth and success of the business through exceptional service and teamwork. Requirements and Qualifications Previous small engine mechanic experience is required. Experience in sales, customer service, or related fields is preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Knowledge of gasoline and diesel engines, electrical systems, and hydraulics. Computer skills are required for operating the point-of-sale system and performing parts lookups. Familiarity with identifying and reading parts manuals and diagrams. Ability to multitask, adapt quickly, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with customers. Positive attitude and commitment to providing outstanding customer service. Desire to learn, grow, and contribute as the business continues to expand. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Valid driver's license required. Able to lift 50+ pounds Reliable attendance and dependable transportation. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Education High school diploma or equivalent is required. Additional technical training or small engine repair certifications are preferred but not required.
