Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Marine Service Technician, where your expertise will drive the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of a wide range of marine equipment and vessels. Duties Perform comprehensive inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on marine engines, boats, electrical systems, rigging, and mechanical components. Interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to accurately troubleshoot issues. Utilize hand tools, power tools, calipers, soldering equipment, welding gear, and precision measuring instruments to execute repairs with precision. Conduct vehicle maintenance tasks including some heavy lifting, fabrication and assembly of marine parts or systems. Assist with rigging operations and maintenance to meet specific vessel requirements. Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports to ensure compliance with safety standards and quality control. Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring client satisfaction during service interactions. Qualifications Proven experience as a service technician within the marine, automotive or heavy machinery industry. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by electrical experience; familiarity with schematics is essential. Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics accurately. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, calipers, volt meters (for electrical testing), and precision measuring instruments. Experience working with heavy lifting equipment and performing maintenance on boats and marine engines. Military background or technical training in related fields is highly advantageous.
