Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Marine Mechanic Trainee and embark on an exciting journey into the world of marine vessel maintenance and repair! Responsibilities Assist with routine maintenance and repairs on marine vessels, including engines, electrical systems, and mechanical components Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments such as calipers and soldering equipment to perform tasks accurately Read schematics and technical diagrams to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues effectively Support fabrication and assembly work involving sheet metal, welding, and rigging to modify or repair vessel structures Conduct heavy lifting tasks safely while adhering to safety protocols during maintenance activities Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports for all work performed Collaborate with senior technicians to learn best practices in vessel servicing and customer satisfaction Qualifications Prior experience as a service technician or mechanic is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential Basic mechanical knowledge with an interest in marine systems or vehicle maintenance Familiarity with schematics, electrical systems, soldering techniques, welding, and fabrication processes is a plus Experience using hand tools, power tools, calipers, ohmmeters (for electrical testing), and precision measuring instruments Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle physical demands of the role Strong customer service mindset with good communication skills Military background or technical training related to mechanics or electrical systems is advantageous Willingness to learn new skills such as sheet metal work, rigging, assembly, and maintenance procedures Join us in this energetic environment where your skills will grow rapidly!
