Job Description

Monahan's Marine, located just 20 minutes south of Boston, is the South Shore's Boating Headquarters. We offer boat and repower sales, service, and 2 floors of boating supplies. Monahan's Marine specializes in the sales and service of Yamaha Outboards. And is a Best in Class Key dealer for the brand. We offer new boat sales with Tidewater Boats, Jones Brothers Marine, and Highfield Inflatable Boats. Technicians at Monahan's Marine inspect, maintain, and repair boats up to 32' in size. Using diagnostic equipment, test and repair boat engines, rigging, and navigational equipment. They also install and test sanitation systems, electrical systems, steering systems, and other boating accessories. Please attach your Resume and Cover Letter stating why you would be a good fit for this role. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Inspect, maintain, and repair boats up to 32'. Utilize diagnostic equipment to test and repair boat engines, rigging, and navigational equipment Install and test sanitation and electrical systems, steering gear, and accessories Troubleshoot, test, repair, replace, remove and install vessel systems and components Overall knowledge of marine systems including electrical, plumbing & water systems Troubleshoot, repair, and install vessel systems and components including but not limited to: electrical, electronics, HVAC, plumbing & water systems (fresh, salt, and waste), gas outboard engines Must possess own tools, shop tools provided when necessary. Availability to work overtime in order to meet deadlines Technical and Physical Requirements High school diploma or equivalent preferred Technical school training preferred 5 years' experience preferred ABYC and/or manufacturer certifications preferred Ability to ascend and descend a ladder Must carry own tools Ability to work outside in all conditions Ability to lift 50 pounds Basic boat handling skills preferred Experience with Yamaha Outboard Engines preferred.
