Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Marine Systems Technician to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting complex marine systems to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will support our mission to deliver reliable marine operations, leveraging your extensive mechanical, electrical, and technical knowledge. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge marine technology while providing exceptional service and solutions to our clients. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair a wide range of marine systems, including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components using schematics and technical manuals. Perform routine maintenance and inspections on vessels and marine equipment to prevent failures and extend operational lifespan. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, calipers, and precision measuring instruments to execute precise repairs and fabrication tasks. Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings to troubleshoot complex system issues efficiently. Conduct heavy lifting and rigging operations safely during installation or repair projects on vessels or dockside equipment. Maintain detailed service records, maintenance logs, and incident reports in compliance with safety standards. Collaborate with team members and clients to provide exceptional customer service while explaining technical issues clearly and professionally. Skills Proven experience as a service technician within the marine or heavy machinery industry. Strong electrical experience with the ability to read schematics and use testing tools such as ohmmeters, Mechanical knowledge of marine systems, plumbing systems, welding, soldering, and assembly processes. Experience with rigging, marine maintenance, fabrication techniques, and the use of hand tools and power tools. Familiarity with industry standards or procedures related to marine or heavy equipment. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safety protocols. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information effectively. Knowledge of maintenance practices for sheet metal work and the use of precision measuring instruments for quality assurance. Must have a minimu of 4 years experience in field.
Pay:
$28.00 - $40.00 per hour
