at Hodgdon Yachts in Damariscotta, Maine, United States Job Description Job description: Are you passionate about marine systems and enjoy working on boats? We are seeking a skilled Marine Systems Technician to join our team! This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional who takes pride in troubleshooting, repairing, and installing marine mechanical and electrical systems.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose, repair, and maintain marine propulsion systems, generators, and auxiliary systems Install and service electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and hydraulic systems on boats and yachts Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance on various marine vessels Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to fuel, water, and sanitation systems Work with a team to ensure timely completion of projects and customer satisfaction Maintain accurate and timely service records and follow safety procedures
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Marine Systems Technician or similar role Knowledge of marine electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Certification(s) from ABYC, NMEA, or equivalent (preferred) Good communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed
