These positions are procured through the AbilityOne Set Aside Program for individuals with significant disabilities. We offer training, job coaching and employment supports to all employees. Purpose or General Objective:
Under limited supervision, the Small Engine Mechanic will perform the required daily equipment maintenance and repairs assigned by the Operations Manager. This will be carried out to its completion using the proper tools, equipment, and safety guidelines.
Essential Duties:
Perform general maintenance and repairs per GSA contract guidelines as directed by the Grounds Maintenance Supervisor.

Perform and supervise grounds maintenance staff per GSA contract direction and specifications.

Monitor company cell phone 24/7, 365 and promptly respond to calls, emails and text messages from Grounds Supervisor, Vice President or GSA.
Operate safely and effectively:
bobcat, tractors, gators, lawn mowers, weed eaters, push mowers, edger, blowers, tillers, aerators, hand tools (i.e., rakes, shovels).Perform vehicle and equipment maintenance, repair as required and practical. Follow all policies and procedures outlined by Navigations, Inc., including all related to safety.

Immediately notify the Grounds Maintenance Supervisor of any concerns regarding safety or damage to equipment.

Report to the Grounds Maintenance Supervisor as requested or required.
Additional Duties:
Perform other related duties and assignments as required or directed by the Grounds Maintenance Supervisor.
Results Expected:
Use all tools and equipment provided in a safe and effective manner. Report for assignments on time and follow scheduled shifts as assigned by Grounds Maintenance Supervisor. Support the Grounds Maintenance Supervisors as requested by the Grounds Maintenance Supervisor.

Perform grounds maintenance tasks and special projects as directed by the Grounds Maintenance Supervisor.
