Marine Technician Benzonia, MI 49616 $62,486 a year - Full-time $62,486 a year - Full-time Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Marine Technician, where you will play a vital role in maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of boats, PWC's and equipment. Duties Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on boats, PWC's, including engines, hulls, electrical systems, and rigging components. Interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to diagnose issues accurately. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, calipers, and precision measuring instruments to execute repairs and fabrication tasks. Conduct heavy lifting and rigging operations safely to handle large components or equipment. Troubleshoot electrical systems using ohmmeters and other diagnostic tools; repair wiring and electrical components as needed. Repair/weld boat hoists and docks Maintain detailed service records, complete maintenance logs, and ensure compliance with safety standards. Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair status clearly and offering technical advice when appropriate. Support sales efforts by demonstrating technical knowledge of products and services to clients. Qualifications Proven experience as a service technician with a strong background in marine, vehicle or heavy equipment maintenance. Familiarity with schematics, electrical systems, mechanical assemblies, and fabrication techniques. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, calipers, and other precision instruments. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures and sheet metal fabrication processes. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safety protocols. Excellent customer service skills with clear communication abilities.
