Job Description
Yacht Basin Marina is home to a family-friendly boating and vacation destination in Holland, MI. For over 60 years we have been located on the water near Lake Michigan's towering sand dunes, parks, and recreational areas. We have over 300 slips for boats to 70'. We have 4 large heated storage buildings and lots of room for outside storage. Our 70 ton Travelift can haul boats to 80' in length. Yacht Basin offers in/out service and is the only marina in Holland to offer this convenient way of launching a boat. Do you enjoy working outside? Yacht Basin technicians enjoy the freedom of working individually outdoors, and on the docks throughout the beautiful summer months. - Join the Yacht Basin Team Yacht Basin is seeking a motivated and seasoned Marine Technician to join our growing team.
Compensation:
Pay is competitive and based on your experience, skill level, and background. What You'll Do Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair gas and diesel engines (inboards, I/Os, and outboards) Service and repair outdrives, transmissions, and running gear Perform routine maintenance on a variety of vessels Handle electrical diagnostics, repairs, and rigging Complete general marine plumbing tasks Collaborate with parts and service team leaders Occasionally interact directly with customers What We're Looking For Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work Solid mechanical and troubleshooting skills Working knowledge of marine systems (engine, electrical, plumbing) Ability to communicate effectively with team members Willingness to travel for paid training opportunities Comfortable working outdoors in all seasons Must provide your own basic tools (specialty tools provided) Why Work With Us On-the-job training and career development Paid off-site training and skill advancement Supportive team environment Opportunity to work on a wide range of vessels If you're ready to build a long-term career in the marine industry with a company that invests in your growth, we'd love to hear from you.
