Job Description

Marine Technician/Mechanic Burt Lake Marina is a full service marina, family owned & operated in Northern Michigan, serving generations of customers since 1969. We have built a reputation as the leader in northern Michigan with our outstanding customer service. This has allowed us to continue to grow as a company & we are looking to add to our family of employees. We are looking to hire a full time technician. Mechanical experience in the marine industry is preferred but not required. We sell & service the following products:
Bennington Four Winns Sea-Doo Ski-Doo Can-Am Volvo Penta Mercury Mercruiser Yamaha Suzuki Evinrude Job Duties Include:
Perform diagnostics and repair of all types of marine engines Handle multiple repair orders and utilize computer systems to document work that has been performed. Service, diagnose, and repair outboards, I/O's, and inboards. Troubleshoot, repair and install electrical accessories in boats including bilge pumps, charging systems, and steering systems. Transporting fiberglass and pontoon boats Rigging / prepping new boats for delivery Staging product in our showrooms and boat shows Seasonal services including, winterization and spring commissioning of boats & personal watercraft Lake testing new product/repaired product, as well as trail testing products. Experienced Marine Mechanic/Technician Qualifications General understanding of the Diagnostic Process.
