Duties Diagnose issues on small engines and related equipment using schematics, technical manuals, and electrical testing tools Perform repairs on a variety of engines, including gasoline and diesel-powered units, ensuring they meet safety and performance standards Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tune-ups, and part replacements to extend equipment lifespan Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and heavy lifting techniques to complete repairs efficiently Interpret schematics and technical diagrams to troubleshoot electrical systems and mechanical components accurately Repair larger machinery such as generators, heavy-duty equipment, or Caterpillar engines when necessary Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and offering maintenance advice to clients Requirements Proven experience as a mechanic with dealership or service technician background preferred Strong mechanical knowledge of small engines, automotive repair, equipment repair, and generator systems Familiarity with schematics, electrical systems, welding, soldering, and diesel engine repair techniques Experience working with heavy lifting tools and safety procedures in a workshop environment Ability to perform vehicle maintenance tasks efficiently using hand tools and power tools Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics accurately Customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients about repairs and maintenance needs Prior experience with Caterpillar or similar heavy machinery is a plus Valid certifications in automotive or small engine repair are advantageous but not mandatory Join us in delivering top-tier service by leveraging your technical expertise!
