Small Engine Mechanic

Small Engine Mechanic - Field Service Lano Equipment in Anoka is looking for a Small Engine Mechanic to join our service team. This position will diagnose, repair, and maintain small engine equipment . If you enjoy working independently, solving mechanical problems, and helping customers get their equipment back up and running, this is a great opportunity to join a well-established equipment dealer. What You'll Do Diagnose and repair small engine and compact equipment Perform preventative maintenance and seasonal service Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues Complete service documentation and work orders Maintain tools, parts inventory, and cleanliness of service vehicle Equipment You May Service Lawn mowers and zero-turn mowers Snowblowers Generators Handheld equipment such as trimmers, blowers, and chainsaws Other small engine repair Qualifications 2+ years of small engine or outdoor power equipment repair experience preferred Mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Ability to work independently in the field Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in outdoor conditions Preferred Experience Experience servicing equipment from brands such as Toro, Kubota, or Stihl Previous experience Technical school or certification in small engine repair What We Offer Competitive hourly pay based on experience Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off and holidays Manufacturer training and career development opportunities About Lano Equipment Lano Equipment has been serving Minnesota customers for over 75 years and is known for providing high-quality agricultural, construction, and turf equipment along with exceptional service.
