Small Engine Mechanic A small engine mechanic is responsible for repairing and maintaining small engines, such as those found in lawn mowers, chainsaws, and other outdoor power equipment. The mechanic will diagnose problems, disassemble engines, and repair or replace defective parts. They will also perform routine maintenance, such as oil changes and tune-ups, and test engines to ensure they are running properly. The mechanic will keep accurate records of all work performed and communicate with customers about the status of their equipment.

Responsibilities:

Diagnose problems with small engines Replace or repair defective parts Perform routine maintenance on equipment Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed Communicate with customers regarding repairs and maintenance Keep work area clean and organized

Qualifications:

Experience repairing small engines Ability to diagnose and repair small engine problems Knowledge of engine components and how they work together Experience working with electrical systems Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions Good communication skills and ability to work with customers Ability to work independently and as part of a team Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
