$16/HR Express Employment is hiring a Small Engine Mechanic in Hattiesburg, MS! $16/hour Weekly Pay Day Shift Full time Key Responsibilities Diagnose, repair, and maintain small engines including lawn equipment, generators, chainsaws, and similar machinery. Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tune-ups, filter replacements, and blade sharpening. Inspect equipment to identify mechanical, electrical, or fuel system issues. Disassemble, repair, and reassemble engine components using hand and power tools. Test repaired equipment to ensure proper performance and safety standards. Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and service work performed. Order and manage parts inventory as needed for repairs and maintenance. Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area. Communicate with customers or supervisors regarding repair needs and completion timelines. Assist with general shop duties as assigned. Skills & Qualifications Previous experience repairing and maintaining small engines preferred. Knowledge of gasoline-powered equipment such as lawnmowers, trimmers, chainsaws, generators, and similar machinery. Ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and fuel system issues. Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and interpret repair manuals and schematics. Basic understanding of engine systems and mechanical principles. Ability to lift, move, and work with heavy equipment as needed. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
