Small Engine Mechanic Schedule:

Monday-Friday 8am-5pm Pay $25 - $35/hr Job Description A small engine mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy-duty machinery used for slab sawing, wall sawing, and core drilling. This role primarily involves working with industrial-grade equipment, specifically 2-stroke and 4-stroke gas engines from brands like Honda, Kohler, and Briggs & Stratton, that power saws and hydraulic units. The position offers an excellent opportunity to learn and advance skills while working under a Master Mechanic. Responsibilities Maintain and repair heavy-duty machinery used for slab sawing, wall sawing, and core drilling. Work primarily with 2-stroke and 4-stroke gas engines, including brands like Honda, Kohler, and Briggs & Stratton. Service heavy concrete cutting equipment, such as walk-behind flat saws, handheld ring and chainsaws, and core drills. Maintain hydraulic power packs and ensure the hydraulic pressure for large wall and wire saws is optimal. Utilize standard engine repair tooling, including hand tools, impact wrenches, and specialty pullers. Conduct diagnostics using multimeters, leak-down and compression testers, and spark testers. Essential Skills Experience with small engines and mechanical troubleshooting. Ability to perform preventive maintenance on heavy-duty machinery. Familiarity with industrial-grade 2-stroke and 4-stroke gas engines. Additional Skills & Qualifications Prior experience as a small engine or other mechanic is preferred. Why Work Here? The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fargo, ND. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
