Job Description

Overview Join our growing company as either a part time or full time small engine mechanic. In this role, you'll diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide variety of small engines, including chainsaws, lawnmowers, generators, snowblowers, trimmers, and more. Your mechanical expertise will help ensure that company and our customers' equipment performs at its best, providing reliable solutions for both residential and commercial needs. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced environment while delivering exceptional customer service. Our small engine shop services both our own company equipment as well as the equipment of other professionals and homeowners. Responsibilities Diagnose issues with small engines and related equipment Perform repairs on various small engines including gasoline and diesel-powered units, ensuring they meet safety and quality standards Service and maintain equipment such as lawnmowers, generators, snow blowers, and other outdoor power tools Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and heavy lifting techniques to complete repairs efficiently Conduct electrical troubleshooting and repairs involving wiring, switches, starters, alternators, and electrical systems Follow manufacturer specifications and schematics to accurately repair complex mechanical and electrical components Communicate clearly with customers about repair needs, timelines, and maintenance recommendations to enhance customer satisfaction Qualifications Proven experience as a mechanic or service technician with a focus on small engines or outdoor power equipment Strong mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to read schematics and technical manuals Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering devices, and other mechanical repair tools Knowledge of equipment maintenance procedures and repair processes Electrical experience including wiring diagnostics and troubleshooting electrical systems in small engines Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during repairs This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to expand their technical skills in a supportive environment that values quality workmanship. Pay:
$28.56 - $34.40 per hour
