Job Description

Marine Technician | Up to $35/hr + Efficiency Bonus + Paid Training | Lake George, NY A reputable and well-established marine service employer is seeking a skilled Marine Technician to join its team in Lake George, NY. This is a full-time opportunity working on a wide range of inboard and outboard marine engines and drivetrain systems on both pleasure and commercial vessels. We are looking for experienced marine technicians as well as strong mechanically inclined individuals from automotive, small engine, RV, or related mechanical backgrounds who are looking to transition into the marine industry. What We Offer Up to $25.00 - $35.00/hour to start (based on experience and certifications) Efficiency bonus up to $5/hr Full benefits available (company-paid) Company-paid OEM and factory training programs Stable, year-round employment with seasonal peak opportunities Opportunity to develop specialized marine engine expertise What You'll Be Doing Diagnose, repair, and maintain inboard and outboard marine engines Work on propulsion, transmission, and drivetrain systems on marine vessels Troubleshoot gas engines using diagnostic procedures and technical manuals Identify worn or faulty components on recreational and commercial boats Perform preventative maintenance and repair work to ensure vessel reliability Complete repairs independently and as part of a team when needed What We're Looking For 5+ years of marine technician experience preferred Experience with inboard/outboard engines strongly preferred Mechanically inclined candidates with experience in automotive, small engines, or RV repair will be considered Strong ability to diagnose and troubleshoot gas engines Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and service documents Basic set of hand tools required Valid driver's license required Boating experience is an asset
Schedule Day Shift:
7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (Monday-Friday) Occasional Saturdays during peak summer season Overtime paid after 40 hours/week If you enjoy hands-on mechanical work and want to build a career in the marine industry with strong training and growth opportunities, this is an excellent opportunity to join a respected team on Lake George. #MHS
