Job Description

Join our Product Recovery team as a Small Engine Technician and put your technical expertise to work repairing and supporting industry-leading outdoor power equipment, including portable generators. In this role, you'll partner closely with our Customer Service and Quality teams to diagnose, repair, and optimize products, ensuring our customers get the reliable performance they expect. You'll also play a key role in shaping repair standards, training programs, and best practices that keep our service operations running at peak efficiency. Duties/Responsibilities Repair and service outdoor power equipment, including portable generators, according to established guidelines.

Partner with Customer Service and Quality teams to diagnose and resolve product issues.

Maintain accurate repair records and documentation.

Assist the Service Technician Lead in developing repair procedures, training materials, and best practices.

Provide technical guidance to identify and address root cause quality concerns.

Support training and onboarding of new Product Recovery team members.

Perform administrative tasks and continuously review processes for improvement. Skills/Abilities Strong troubleshooting and mechanical repair skills.

Proficient in using diagnostic tools and technical manuals.

Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Solid computer skills for documentation and reporting.

Positive attitude, professionalism, and ability to work well in a team environment. Education and Experience Graduate certificate from a certified engine repair or engine technology program, preferredMinimum of 2 years' hands-on experience repairing engines or similar mechanical equipmentExperience in outdoor power equipment repair, preferred. Familiarity with quality control processes and root cause analysis a plus. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly. Stand, bend, and work with hands for extended periods. Operate repair tools and equipment safely. Work in shop or warehouse environments with varying temperatures.
