The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and have experience in servicing and maintaining marine vessels. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. The Marine Technician will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely. Responsibilities Conduct thorough inspections of marine vessels to identify maintenance needs and potential issues. Utilize precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate assessments of mechanical systems. Perform repairs and maintenance on various marine systems, including engines, electrical systems, and plumbing. Work with sheet metal for fabrication or repair tasks as needed. Execute welding tasks to repair or modify components. Maintain detailed records of services performed and parts used. Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot problems effectively. Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients regarding their vessel's condition and required repairs. Collaborate with other technicians and staff to ensure timely completion of projects. Experience Proven experience as a mechanic or service technician, preferably in the marine industry. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools and equipment. Familiarity with vehicle maintenance practices is advantageous. Ability to read and interpret schematics related to marine systems. Experience working with precision measuring instruments is preferred. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role. Strong communication skills for effective customer interaction.
