Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and safety-minded Equipment Mechanic Technician to help oversee the maintenance and repair of our entire operational fleet. In this role, you will ensure maximum equipment uptime by diagnosing, servicing, and repairing both our small engine outdoor power tools and our large heavy-duty tree care machinery . The ideal candidate has strong diagnostic skills, works well independently, and prioritizes a clean, safe shop environment to support our field crews. Key Responsibilities Large Equipment & Fleet Maintenance Perform routine preventive maintenance, including oil changes, fluid flushes, and safety inspections on all company trucks and trailers. Troubleshoot and repair complex hydraulic systems on aerial bucket trucks and log loaders. Diagnose diesel and gas engines , electrical wiring faults, and electronic control modules. Maintain and service heavy machinery unique to the tree care industry, including brush chippers (feed systems, knives, and drums) and stump grinders. Small Engine Repair Service, tune, and rebuild two-stroke and four-stroke small engines for commercial chainsaws, pole saws, blowers, and hedge trimmers. Perform precision maintenance tasks such as chain sharpening, bar replacement, carburetor cleaning, and spark plug replacement. Shop Operations & Field Support Respond to emergency field calls to perform on-site breakdown repairs or secure down equipment.
