Marine Systems Technician

At Freeman Boatworks, we build industry-leading high-performance catamaran fishing boats known for quality, innovation, and craftsmanship. We are looking for a Marine Systems Technician to support our 56 line with troubleshooting, rigging, warranty work, and customer support both in-house and in the field. This role is ideal for someone with strong marine systems knowledge who enjoys problem solving, working hands-on, and supporting customers at a high level. What We're Looking For Experience with marine electrical and mechanical systems Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Comfortable working independently and traveling as needed Professional communication skills with customers and vendors Strong organizational and documentation skills Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing and service environment What You'll Be Doing Diagnose and repair marine systems on Freeman 56 models Support warranty and service-related repairs Troubleshoot and service: Diesel generators (Fischer Panda, Northern Lights, Onan preferred) Air conditioning systems Ice makers Chiller plates Water makers General 12V rigging systems Coordinate with vendors and technical support teams Document and report work performed Travel for field service and customer support as needed Assist with sea trials and boat handling when required Preferred Experience Familiarity with Mercury V10/V12 outboards ABYC certification Marine electronics experience including MFDs, radars, and stereos Fiberglass and basic gelcoat repair experience Boat handling experience on vessels up to 60' Travel Requirements Willingness to travel, sometimes on short notice Ability to travel for periods up to one week Valid passport or ability to obtain one What We Offer Competitive pay Comprehensive benefits: medical, dental, vision, company-paid life & disability + more! 401(k) with company match Paid time off and holidays Please note: Employment with Freeman Boatworks is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
