Job Description

Marine Technician / Boat Mechanic Job Type Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a dependable and motivated Marine Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, works efficiently, maintains a positive attitude, and shows up ready to work each day. Experience in marine repair and diagnostics is preferred, but we are willing to work with the right individual who has strong mechanical ability and a willingness to grow in the marine industry. We are looking for a long-term team member who takes pride in their work and wants to build a career in the marine industry. Responsibilities Perform complete engine services, including oil changes and routine maintenance Diagnose and repair simple and complex electrical issues Perform voltage drop testing and electrical troubleshooting Service and troubleshoot fuel injection systems Work on raw water cooling systems Complete basic boat rigging and setup Use diagnostic software and basic computer systems Maintain clean and organized work areas Communicate effectively with team members and management Preferred Qualifications Certified Mercury Outboard Technician preferred but not required Certified Volvo Gas Inboard Technician preferred but not required Experience with stern drive operation and rebuilds Experience with engine compression testing and long block rebuilds Familiarity with marine diagnostic software and computer programming Requirements Basic mechanical knowledge Strong work ethic and dependable attendance Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good attitude and willingness to learn Valid driver's license preferred Required Tools Technicians should have basic mechanic tools including: Metric and standard wrench and socket sets Screwdrivers of various sizes Pliers, vise grips, and channel locks Filter wrenches of various sizes Schedule Full-time hours Experience Mechanical experience preferred Marine industry experience is a plus but not required Work Location In person Benefits Health insurance Paid holidays Paid vacation Retirement plan

$17.00 - $25.00 per hour
