Job Description

Tims Ford Powersports is expanding our marine service department due to the continued growth of our service department, particularly surf and wake boat brands. As our inventory of premium inboard and sterndrive boats continues to grow, we are looking to add an experienced Marine Technician who specializes in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining inboard and inboard/outboard propulsion systems. Primary Responsibilities Diagnose, repair, and maintain inboard and sterndrive (I/O) marine engines and drivetrains Perform scheduled maintenance and service work on surf, wake, and recreational boats Troubleshoot engine, fuel, electrical, cooling, steering, and propulsion system issues Complete warranty repairs according to manufacturer guidelines Rig and prepare new boats for delivery Conduct water testing when necessary to verify repairs and performance Accurately document repairs, parts usage, and labor performed Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Assist fellow technicians and team members as needed Qualifications Experience working on marine inboard and/or sterndrive propulsion systems required Experience with PCM, Indmar, MerCruiser, Volvo Penta, or similar marine powerplants preferred Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities Ability to read and interpret service manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation Experience with LightSpeed DMS is preferred Basic computer skills for work orders and service documentation Valid driver's license and clean driving record Ability to safely operate and maneuver boats and trailers Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team-first mentality What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who takes ownership of their work, enjoys being part of a high-performing team, and is committed to helping us support the growing number of surf, wake, and recreational boat owners who trust Tims Ford Powersports for service.
